TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply for the Rock’n Soul Choir, My Vocal Training and Sing Up The Pub.

These three entities fall under The Rock’n Soul Choir umbrella company and share the same policies, terms and conditions.

1.Membership

1) The Rock’n Soul Choir rehearsals run during the gazetted NSW Public School terms. The number of weeks in each school term varies.
2) All group classes require a minimum number of enrolments in order to run. Should any of the Rock’n Soul term sessions not be able to commence due to insufficient numbers, you will be advised as soon as possible and all fees will be refunded.
3) Membership will only be confirmed when full payment is received and the enrolment/terms & conditions forms have been submitted (via the website) and received. All membership fees must be received and processed before the start date of each term. Early bird rates are limited to the advertised dates. Post the advertised period, full term fees apply.
4) Members will not be reimbursed for lessons if they cannot attend as rehearsals will still run anyway in their absence with Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd still incurring teacher and venue costs.
5) Membership costs may vary each academic year and members will be notified of any proposed changes in advance.
6) By taking part in Rock’n Soul Choir rehearsals or Sing Up The Pub events, it is agreed that any use of resources, techniques and ideas will not be reproduced at any other event, group or venue.
7) The directors reserve the right to refuse admission, and to withdraw membership at any time.
8) Unless written notification is given by you at the time of enrolment, it is agreed that photos, voice recordings and/or video recordings may be taken of the choir members during rehearsals and performances. Furthermore, you provide your express agreement to the abovementioned media to be used for promotional purposes including, but not limited to website, printed material, CD recordings, Facebook publications, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and any other social media platform. Is it furthermore agreed by you, that the use of any photos, voice or video recordings may be used in perpetuity regardless of membership status.

2. Health and Safety

1) Members of all Rock’n Soul Choir divisions and those attending Sing Up The Pub / My Vocal Training, are responsible for their own property and well-being while attending rehearsals and performances. The Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd and Sing Up The Pub, is not responsible for damage to persons or personal belongings while attending rehearsals and performances, or the period before and after rehearsals and performances.
2) In signing this agreement, Rock’n Soul Choir members, My Vocal Training students and Sing Up The Pub members hereby grant permission for the teachers and/or musical director of the company to seek any urgent medical attention that is deemed necessary, should a member fall ill or injure themselves. Members also agree to waive and release Sing Up The Pub, My Vocal Training, Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd and all its teachers and directors of any liability for any injury, illness or loss incurred while attending a class, rehearsal, performance, event or venue.
3) Travel arrangements to and from rehearsals and performances are the responsibility of individual members.

3. Privacy Policy

All information provided is confidential and is kept solely for the business operations of Sing Up The Pub, My Vocal Training and the Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd.
No information or data is made available to any third party unless required by law or where there is a prior agreement made with the member to do so.

4. Ethical Code of Conduct

1) Members are not permitted to entice, promote, market or advertise any external businesses, similar or competing entities of any kind without the written authorisation of our Managing Director - Candice Loh. This includes but is not limited to enticement via word of mouth, invitation, email, disparaging comparisons, promotional material or any form of social media, other media and direct marketing. The Directors of Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd / Sing Up The Pub, reserve the right to discontinue membership without refund should such circumstance arise. Any form of enticement, re-direction of clients or drawing upon The Rock’n Soul Choir / Sing Up The Pub / My Vocal Training database will result in immediate termination of membership and removal without refund.

2) Participants must not disparage our business while promoting competing entities. This includes making negative comparisons or derogatory remarks to entice clients away from our databases. Violation may result in disciplinary action, including membership termination without refund.

3) Attendees of our community choir are expected to prioritize the collective benefit and unity of the group. Thus, diverting or redirecting performance opportunities to competing entities, commonly known as syphoning gigs, is strictly prohibited. By participating in our choir, all current, future and past participants agree to act with integrity and professionalism, refraining from soliciting or accepting gigs intended for our community and intentionally directing them elsewhere. Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary actions.
4) Sing Up The Pub, My Vocal Training and the Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd. aims to create a safe and positive environment for all its members. In order to do this, we must ensure acceptable standards of behaviour from all attendees. All attendees should be co-operative and treat staff and fellow attendees with respect and courtesy at all times. Any negative behaviour towards others, the directors or to the rehearsal and performance environment will result in the cancellation of membership without refund.
5) Sing Up The Pub, My Vocal Training and the Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd. is an equal-opportunity organisation and environment. Any form of discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate termination of membership and removal of the offending participant without refund.
6) All members should be punctual to rehearsals and adhere to times and guidelines set by Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd.

7) It is expected that members consider health and safety with regards to personal hygiene, the spread of disease and responsible attendance in the case of illness.

5. Equal Opportunity

In accordance with the Equal Opportunity Act, Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd / Sing Up The Pub will endeavour to take reasonable steps to enable members with a disability to fully access services provided.

6. Membership Costs

Rock’n Soul Choir………. $220 per term. Discounted promotional rates and early bird rates apply during promotional periods only.

Sing Up The Pub ………… To be advised via ticket sales – varying based on venue.

My Vocal Training (Private singing lessons) ½ hour lesson….$55 1 hour lesson…….$110.

It is also important to realise that your disclosure is made about yourself and any other persons, to which you want to be covered by the membership. If it is apparent that this duty of disclosure has not been fulfilled, and/or that you have acted fraudulently, then we reserve the right to cancel your membership of the Rock’n Soul Choir Pty Ltd, you will under these circumstance not be entitled to a refund whatsoever.
